northern delights - Discover the rugged north!
You will be picked up from your hotel and your first visit is to the village of Rabil, the old capital of Boa Vista. A vibrant town where you will visit the Rabil pottery, a quickly growing community project where you can view the pottery being made from local river clay and buy items if desired.
Then it is some seriously off road driving to take us to the infamous Santa Maria shipwreck on Boa Esperanca beach on the Northern tip of the island. There we have time to walk the beach, learn the history of the wreck and take photos.
After we have finished exploring the shipwreck we will visit Sal Rei, the capital of Boa Vista where we will first drive through all the main areas for you to see save your legs! Then we will stop off a the traditional pier, here you can shop, visit local childrens orgnisation in area of poverty to donate items or food, visit the animal sanctuary or just soak up the sights and sounds.
Finally you will relax at the stunning Bahia beach bar on Boa for fabulous 2 course lunch lunch. Situated by tranquil waters Bahia beach bar serves a fantastic quality 2 course lunch with multiple choices while you gaze over the beach and ocean with a refreshment in hand and feet in the sand!

TOUAREG OR KARAMBOA
We will pick you up from outside the hotel security gates (not outside reception but outside the big arch leading into the main entrance of the hotel complex) at 8:45am if staying in the Touareg hotel or 9:30am if staying in the Karamboa.
DECAMERON OR IBEROSTAR
We will pick you up from outside the hotel security gates (not outside reception but down the hill to the gate leading into the main entrance of the hotel complex) at 9:20am from the Decameron and at 9:25am from the Iberostar.
OTHER HOTELS ON BOA
Please look out for our personalised email confirming your booking with pick up details.
Our driver will drop you off either outside the main entrance of the hotel complex (same location as pick up) or outside reception.

*Depending on ocean conditions we might get the chance to swim in the ocean.
*However if the Giggling Gecko Adventures guide decides on the day that you can't swim at either Santa Monica or Varandinha beach, no matter how strong a swimmer you are if our guide says no swimming please abide to their decision.
*More often than not it is possible to swim at the beach bar but again if our guide says no swimming then please respect their decision.
*Some of the beautiful locations we visit involve off road driving over bumpy terrain. Please feel free to inform us if you have a medical condition which you think may hamper your enjoyment of the tour.
*Please note there's a 10% online booking fee on final checkout. To minimise having to pay this 10% fee please drop us an email directly to book this tour rather than using our online booking form.
If you can't make your tour for whatever reason please either call us, drop us an email, send us a text and try to give us at least 24 hours notice if possible.
