Our taster tour of the island for those who want to see some of the best bits of Boa without doing a full day, takes in some of the must do locations in the south and west of the island, 2 of the islands best beaches as well as a the oldest village which is then contrasted with the capital and topped off with a visit to a stunning beach bar.
The mini adventure takes around 4.5 hours and takes you to two of the islands most stunning beaches, firstly the famous Santa Monica where you will see crashing waves meet the waves of crabs scurrying on the white sands that has been voted in the top 10 best beach in the world by some travel publications.
Then we’re off along a dirt track and through stunning dunes dotted with goats to the beautiful Praia de Varandinha a deserted lesser trodden beach with impressive caves and sometimes the rare red billed tropic birds floating majestically around the cliff faces.
Stopping off next at the small town of Povoacao Velha, the oldest settlement on the island, you have included local shots to sample and the opportunity to buy other refreshments, experience the local way of life and buy some souvenirs if you wish.
onward and upward through the island to the capital Sal Rei where we will dive round al lthe main areas for you to see, then stop off at the harbour. You can also request a stop off at childrens charity or animal charity to donate items if you so please.
Finished off by time in a spectacular beach bar, where you can swim in turquise waters, enjoy refereshments or just soak up the unforgettable Afrian atmosphere.

All of our tours offer the option of stopping off to visit a local kids charity for you to donate items to support a project. If you would like to do so please let us know via email.

However timings are subject to change for multiple reasons so please look fir your personalised second email, not the automaed one. If you have not received a personalised email from us please contact us to confirm your booking.
TOUAREG OR KARAMBOA
We will pick you up from outside the hotel security gates (not outside reception but outside the big arch leading into the main entrance of the hotel complex) at 8am if staying in the Karamboa or 8:45am if staying in the Touareg.
DECAMERON OR IBEROSTAR
We will pick you up from outside the hotel security gates (not outside reception but down the hill to the gate leading into the main entrance of the hotel complex) at 8:10 from the Decameron and at 8:15am from the Iberostar.

Please look out for our personalised email confirming your booking with pick up details.
Our driver will drop you off either outside the main entrance of the hotel complex (same location as pick up) or outside reception.

*Depending on ocean conditions we might get the chance to swim in the ocean.
*However if the Giggling Gecko Adventures guide decides on the day that you can't swim at either Santa Monica or Varandinha beach, no matter how strong a swimmer you are if our guide says no swimming please abide to their decision.
*More often than not it is possible to swim at the beach bar but again if our guide says no swimming then please respect their decision.
*Some of the beautiful locations we visit involve off road driving over bumpy terrain. Please feel free to inform us if you have a medical condition which you think may hamper your enjoyment of the tour.
*Please note there's a 10% online booking fee on final checkout. To minimise having to pay this 10% fee please drop us an email directly to book this tour rather than using our online booking form.
If you can't make your tour for whatever reason please either call us, drop us an email, send us a text and try to give us at least 24 hours notice if possible.
